Chatham 5K
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Around 1995, a local group of Chatham runners decided to host their own road race after attending a Lynchburg, Virginia, running event. Their enthusiasm started the Chatham 5K Race. The charity race has always supported those who support others. The Chatham Fire Department, the Chatham Rescue Squad, and other local Chatham and Pittsylvania County charities have benefited regularly from the fundraising from this annual event.
IMPACT STATEMENT
Not only is this event beneficial to local service groups, it also brings tourism alive in the town, as the race attracts many visitors to the event. We are proud to donate to this worthy local cause!
