In this time of extreme and unusual circumstances, one of the most vulnerable groups affected is children. This circumstance is also affecting children through parents who are experiencing income loss.
A few community volunteers have identified a need in our community, and we are asking you to join us in filling the gap.
Because Pittsylvania County Schools are on Spring Break next week, March 23-27, normal food programs were not prepared to distribute.
We are making plans, and have been collaborating with other groups to develop a plan to address this gap. We have arranged for distribution sites, staging and processing sites, and are making arrangements to get supplies.
What we are asking of you, in addition to asking other groups and individuals in the area, is for financial donations to support this effort.
We will not be accepting food donations for this event.
